White Rage!

Carol Anderson is a Professor of African American Studies and author of White Rage: The Unspoken Truth of Our Nation's Divide, a New York Times Bestseller. In her book and in her presentation below, she outlines a riveting and disturbing history of the lengths taken in the US to prevent black people from achieving economic independence, civil and political rights. It is the playbook being used in other countries too.

Professor Anderson who coined the phrase White Rage, describes how white rage isn't violent. It is a subtle, quiet, corrosive, entity that cloaks itself in legality and exists within most institutions. Importantly it only rears its head in the presence of black people with drive, ambition and aspiration.
